Luckily, our August vacation had been planned for months, and it couldn’t come soon enough. A little time to decompress with a cold drink, a cool tropical breeze, fresh eyes to take in the scenery and I was ready to grab my camera and get inspired.
Even as I sit here and type, the words don’t come easily. So I’ll let my photos tell my story….
It’s been such a beautiful weekend in Louisiana. Spring is in it’s prime with flowers abloom and bees abuzzin’. We spent Saturday at a local natural treasure: Hodges Gardens, which boasts over 700 acres of wild beauty.
In the 1950’s, oil and gas businessman A.J. Hodge, Sr designed the gardens then opened the grounds to the public in 1956.
