Happy Hour Friday: Viagra Martini and Link Up

I have to admit, this wasn’t the drink I planned on sharing today.  A couple of ingredients slipped my chaotic mind at the grocery store, so I had to fall back on a regular favorite.  Despair not!  This is one of the BEST!

The backstory:  A few years ago someone gave us a martini bar book.  ”The Official National Bartenders Association Martini Guide”  One word:  FABULOUS     It has hundreds of recipes in it, and some of them are really great.  From classic gin and vermouth martinis to creamy, chocolatey Godiva martinis to the truly exotic martinis.

We had the idea at one point to work our way through the entire book.   We even devised a ranking system, 1 being “Not Good/Will never make again” to 5  ”Very Good/Should be a regular.”  LOL  It was fun for a while.  But in the end we found a few that we really liked and just settled on those.  Maybe some day I’ll host a Martini Marathon and we can all work our way through the book!   jkgkfjdhg

1/2 oz vodka

1/2 oz citrus vodka

1/2 orange vodka

1/2 Cointreau

1/2 cranberry juice

Splash lime juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.  Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled martini glass.
