Happy Hour Friday Returns! Cucumber-infused Rum & Mojito

With New Year’s Eve being tomorrow, everyone is posting champagne cocktails.  I opted for something a little different.

Now, I love champagne just as much (if not more) than the next girl; but the truth is, I’m a purist.  :)   I like my champagne just as is, no mixers required.  It’s hard to beat the delightful balance of slightly sweet, slightly dry bubbly, especially paired perfectly with chocolate-covered pecans or wedding cake cupcakes.  ;)  Occasionally I will drop a shot of St Germaine into my glass and garnish with a twist of lemon, but I’ll save that one for later.

Holiday Treats

Hello!  Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and all that jazz.  I hope each and every one of you have had a wonderful holiday season so far.  For myself, I am fortunate beyond measure; and there is nothing more I could want or ask for  :)

Contentment is a wonderful thing

My time has been so limited lately that I haven’t even had a moment to pop in here to confirm that I am indeed still alive.   The past few weeks have been Crazy hectic!  From long days at my gift shop to Christmas shopping, gift wrapping, house decorating and gathering with friends and family I have had little time to blog.  I have spent some time in the kitchen, but there has been little time left over for picture-taking, editing or posting.  Sorry about that!  It’s time to fix that and give you a little glimpse into what’s been happening in my kitchen.
