I had the most wonderful birthday weekend! Friday night wine tasting and dinner out with friends. A little time in the kitchen and work in the garden on Saturday. And then cocktails in the sun on Sunday. The best gifts of all: time at home with my husband; a call from my favorite niece; a chat with one sister; a visit from another sister; messages from my brother, SIL and nephews; birthday wishes from MANY friends–new and old; and lots of love all around. I am a happy and grateful person. ☺
Day 45 and my garden is GROWING! If you look closely, you’ll see little pepper buds on the plant in the left photo. More blooms popping out on all 5 tomato plants. And a few teeny curly-cue buds starting on the cucumbers!
I doubled my garden late last week. I had 20 pepper plants that I started from seeds that needed to be planted. I laid out a new raised bed and put them in the ground.

There’s also a new project in the works… We are planning a fab late spring party, so Spicehubby is creating a very special entertaining spot. ☺ I’m reeeeeally excited about this one! It’s nearly finished, and I think I’ll have a hard time waiting for the paint to dry before I move my table and chairs onto it for a garden dinner party!
The decking is almost done. Then comes the top runners of the pergola, a few finishing touches, and final stain and sealant. CAN. NOT. WAIT!
